Product review: Helstons Modelo Mesh Jacket in Brown
This jacket is just what I wanted. I must admit to being unsure of the quality of what I was going to receive given it is a mesh jacket at quite a low price. I was therefore delighted when I took delivery of my jacket. It was much heavier than I expected and beautifully made and finished. The fit was excellent and the armour in the shoulders, elbows and the back reassuring without being uncomfortable. It flows air really well to keep you cool although I wouldn't want to wear it if riding any distance in temperatures of less than 22 degrees centigrade. The only minor problem I have found is that the cuffs are very slim and although it has three poppers for adjustment the first one is the only really practical one even with thin summer gloves. All in all I am very pleased with the Modelo jacket for those hot summer days.

Service review
I had been looking for this jacket for over 18 months from UK suppliers but could not find one in my size. Having read good reviews I was disappointed at not being able to get one anywhere. I came across the icasque web site by accident and was delighted to find the jacket in my size, in stock and at a greatly reduced price. My only concern was that although it was a UK website address, despatch of goods seemed to be from their warehouse in France. I was therefore concerned that there might be additional costs to pay in terms of VAT and customs duty. A quick telephone call to the number on the website assured me that no additional costs would be incurred and the price on the website was what I would pay in total. On this basis I ordered the jacket. I had several emails thereafter keeping me informed of the progress of my order and even offering me alternatives if I felt the delivery time was too long. In the end the jacket was delivered before the stated date with the courier firm providing good information about when it was due.
I have nothing but praise for the whole process from icasque and its staff and will certainly look to use them again for future purchases.
