The MX-9 MIPS, which stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection, incorporates one of the latest innovations in energy management: a multi-directional impact protection system.
MIPS uses a sliding surface system that moves inside the helmet, mimicking the brain's natural protective system. This element is designed to rotate inside the helmet with the goal of reducing the amount of energy transferred to or from the head.
Science explains that if the stresses associated with rotational acceleration can be reduced, the risk and severity of brain injury in the event of a fall can be reduced.
