Bell, an American brand that has been synonymous with the benchmark for over 50 years, is reissuing its mythical open face helmet formerly known as the Bell 500 RT - in homage to the Indy 500 race - under the name Custom 500.

For fans of the 60's and 70's and for fans of Steve McQueen - who wore it and made it legendary - the Bell Custom 500 open face helmet has a taste of nostalgia.

With its classic vintage look and modern design, the Bell Custom 500 jet helmet features the company's "Twin Shell System" technology, which consists of a composite fiber shell for weight reduction and better shock absorption, covered by a thin technopolymer shell for high abrasion resistance.

Bell has designed this helmet with no less than 5 different shell and EPS sizes, an incredible number for an open face helmet of this type, which allows it to offer a weight and volume perfectly proportional to the wearer's morphology and limits the well-known "light bulb head" effect of this type of helmet.
